Opening a support case with Envisionware
Start by going to http://system.envisionware.com/ and clicking on "My Account".
Choose "Contact Support" from the list.
Fill in as much information as you can. Support will email or call with further questions if the case submission is lacking details.
For the contact, click the arrow icon to the right side of the field and find your name.
For the "Interactions" field, explain the issue and provide any relevant information.
Once everything is filled out, choose "Submit" at the bottom. Be careful not to choose the "Submit & Close Case" option.
You should be taken to a page listing all cases for the library.
You will also receive an email once the system has processed your case submission.
Envisionware RFID Pad Installation
Installation With Config File
** All programs and manuals are in the Systems -> Applications -> Envisionware -> RFID folder.
** Do not have the RFID Pad plugged into the computer until the InstallRFIDLink_3.5.2.27025.exe has been installed. There will be an on screen prompt to plug in the RFID Pad.
Doing so before hand will allow windows to install the wrong driver for the device.
1. Verify which install you are going to do out of the two options RFID with Encoding and RFID without Encoding.
2. Once you decide which is going to be installed open the respective folder.
3. Now run the InstallRFIDSoftwareSuite_3.5.2.
4. Since you are using the install with a config file that is all you have to do with InstallRFIDSoftwareSuite_3.5.2.
5. Final step is to install the InstallRFIDLink_3.5.2.27025.exe.
** This is a Hotfix Released on Sep. 7th 2023 which resolves some driver issues that needs to be installed which is InstallRFIDLink_3.5.2.27025.exe.
6. Make sure Staff Station is selected before proceeding.
7. Be sure to follow these prompts that will pop up regarding the RFID Pad being connected to the computer. During these prompts is when to plug in the RFID Pad.
8. You have successfully installed the needed software to get the EnvisionWare RFID Pad to work! Be sure to go to the bottom of this article to the Step to finish the Staff Station with Encoding/Tag Query for enabling encoding.
Installation Without Config File
** This section is primarily for if the programs in Systems -> Applications -> Envisionware -> RFID folder
can't be found and installing the programs from scratch. They can be located here EnvisionWare website.
** Do not have the RFID Pad plugged into the computer until the InstallRFIDLink_3.5.2.27025.exe has been installed. There will be an on screen prompt to plug in the RFID Pad. Doing so before hand will allow windows to install the wrong driver for the device.
1. Run the InstallRFIDSoftwareSuite_3.5.2.
2. Click Next until you get to the following screen.
3. Once you are here select the correct option for you scenario. The only two options that should be selected are Staff Station with Encoding/Tag Query or Staff Station without Encoding/Tag Query.
4. Click Next until you see the following screen.
5. On this screen select Unicorn/Symphony from the drop down menu then click Install.
6. On the install screen you might encounter the following error. Select Continue Anyway to proceed.
7. If there is a message about not being able to find the EnvisionWare license file you can get it from . You can copy it and past it in the C:\Program Files (x86)\EnvisionWare and C:\Program Files (x86)\EnvisionWare\RFIDLink folders.
8. After the installation has completed you will be greeted with the following screen. To save the config file for use with another computer check the box. Now you can click Finish.
9. You can now plug in the RFID Pad to the computer. Once it is plugged in the computer will sense there is a new device plugged in and the install wizard will pop up.
10. When the pop up appears select the Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) option. Then click Next to bring up another screen.
11. Once the following screen pops up uncheck the Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...) box since the driver is in the C:\Program Files (x86)\EnvisionWare\RFIDLink\drivers folder.
12. Now the drivers for the RFID Pad have been installed. Click the Finish button on this screen.

16. You have successfully installed the needed software to get the EnvisionWare RFID Pad to work! Be sure to go to the bottom of this article to the Step to finish the Staff Station with Encoding/Tag Query for enabling encoding.
Step to finish the Staff Station with Encoding/Tag Query
1. Launch EnvisionWare RFID Suite it is a URL on the desktop.
2. Without adding a encoding profile you will encounter this error when opening.
3. Copy the LCL - Encoding Profile.xml file in the Systems N:\Applications\Envisionware\RFID\RFID with Encoding folder
4. Now go to the C:\ProgramData\EnvisionWare\RFIDLink\config\encodingProfiles on the local computer and paste the file in this folder.
5. With the encoding profile added you should now be greeted with this screen and can log into the Conversion Module.
** The username can be first initial last name. It is not connected to anything and just makes a profile on the computer to track encoding and time it was open per user. The manual said to use admin for the install and testing.

6. You have successfully enabled encoding on the EnvisionWare RFID Suite!
** Here is what the encoding profile should look like if there is no longer one set up. The template used is the recommended one and can be found in C:\ProgramData\EnvisionWare\RFIDLink\config\encodingProfiles\templates.
